THE COURSE

The course is clearly marked and marshalled and takes you from the start at Ceramco Park in Glen Eden and sees runners race along Glendale Rd, West Coast Rd, Carter Rd, Scenic Drive, and finishing with a great downhill on Konini Rd. The fun runs make use of local walking tracks.

NOTE: The roads will not be closed to traffic for the event.

REGISTRATION

Please pick up your race number and timing chip on Saturday, 17th September between 2-4pm Glen Eden Athletic & Harrier Clubrooms at Ceramco Park, 120 Glendale Road, Glen Eden.

You will also be able to pick up your race number and timing chip on the race day at Glen Eden Athletic & Harrier Clubrooms at Ceramco Park from 7:30am on event day.

 

TIMING

Electronic timing chips will be used to time ALL of the races, including the 2km fun run.

 

DRINK STATIONStailwind-nutrition-300

Water stations are available on course at 6km and 10.5km. For your benefit and safety, please remember to take plenty of fluids on the day.

Tailwind Electrolyte Drink will be available [on the course and at the finish line] this weekend to help quench your thirst and keep you hydrated.

 

GEAR DROP

The clubrooms at the event centre will be open so you can leave your gear inside.

 

POST EVENT FACILITIES

Showers are available in the clubrooms, along with food and tea/coffee.

 

T-SHIRTS

Event t-shirts are available to purchase during the entry process or separately here.
Event running shirts are dri-fit performance t-shirts.

Orders received before 8th September will be given out with your race race pack at registration.

CAR PARKING

Car parking will be available on surrounding streets.  There is no off-street parking so please allow time to park in neighbouring streets.  Suggestions are Glengarry Road, Meadowvale Rise, Inver Street and Withers Road.

 

DOGS

No, due to the roads not being closed and the number of participants, we do not allow dogs on the course.

 

PRAMS AND BUGGIES

Due to the nature of the event and the roads being open to traffic, we strongly discourage strollers on the course.

 

PRIZEGIVING

Prizegiving is at event centre at 11am.

 

CERTIFICATES & PHOTOS

All competitors will be able to download and print their certificates from this website.  A bunch of photographers from photos4sale.co.nz will be taking photos from throughout the course.

RESULTS

The results will be available soon after the finish on the website.

 

PROCEEDS

The Glen Eden 10 Miler and Fun Runs are managed by Lactic Turkey Events on behalf of the Glen Eden Athletic & Harrier Club.  The proceeds from this annual event are a fundraiser for the Glen Eden Athletic & Harrier Club
