A Forced Taper :(
Pesky foot strain throws a spanner into the UTA taper. Well…means an enforced taper of lots to zero 😀
Even on a cruisy local MTB it is sore. I twisted my foot on the top rooty bits of the Wild Kiwi event on the 14th April and at teh time thought it was a twisted ankle and kept runnign to the finish. After cooling down it stiffened up and was pretty sore. I ran on it for a couple of weeks including the big session on Mt Te Aroha and it wasn’t bad, but after a gnarly stair session which I had to do a little road running to get to and from, it was mega sore. So full rest and x-rays (which were clean) and physio!! The issue is in the joint between the top of the little toe (outside near ankle) and the cuboid. A tricky spot.
All good still over a week till UTA100
